CATCHING UP ON ROCHE DOLLS

 Like all dolls , if you are a collector, your collection will grow but can also change over time. 

Some time's it's that you , having got to know the dolls, your preferences change. Roche's come in several styles.

Some dolls have soft bodies with porcelain heads and maybe hands.

This small Pompom at just seven inches wearing a knitted bunny outfit to

this twenty inch Tabitha in silk.

These two Aimi and Jonny are from the little friends range , they are 7 1/2 inches and are all porcelain with wooden ball joints.

This is Eliza from the American child release.

a 16 inch Emily all porcelain with wooden ball joints.

Another all porcelain doll with wooden joints, Emma in the purple, not her original dress. 

I would say the most popular are the dolls with the lime wood bodies, and porcelain head and hands.

These come in sizes from ten inches to around 23 inches. Above is Rose in her original summer outfit but the shoes are new.

Robyn a 14 inch girl in her original clothes with her knitted cat.

Theo also a 14 inch boy but can also come in 16 inches.

The  earlier dolls , like this Marigold came with mohair wigs. 15/16 inches

This is a Bella Spring who came along with her large rabbit. Her wig is made of fine lambs wool.

This Bella Play, also wears a Lambs wool wig and comes with three small wooden animals kept in her large pocket.

Mira, again with a small bear and a lambs wool wig.  Around 17 inches.

Esme Christmas 2024 again a wool wig.

A group of the dolls The three 16 inch are 2024 dolls along with the three smaller dolls at the front. The girl to the side in tartan is an Elsie at 14 inches from an earlier year. The girl in blue and orange gingham at the front is a 12 inch Daisy.

Here we have a twenty inch Lillian in lilac , now she has a real hair wig.

And this is a Twenty three inch Cecily, she has a mohair wig.

All the Roche dolls come in hand made clothes designed by Lynne Roche for each release.

She uses natural fabrics where possible and sometimes vintage ones.
